"I visited the shrine at the end of March 2023, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was coming to an end, during the beautiful cherry blossom season.
Although the shrine is close to the station, the grounds are spacious and very quiet. There's a Kagura Hall, an Ema Hall, and a Sanshu Hall, and I enjoyed strolling around while I was receiving my goshuin stamp. I was even given tea and sweets, which really put me at peace at Hachiman Shrine. I'd definitely like to visit again."

"Saginomiya Hachiman Shrine is located just a few minutes' walk south from Saginomiya Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with the sacred trees and shrubs well-maintained. There are benches and a covered rest area, so you can relax and unwind. From the station, you can enter directly to the left without having to go around to the torii gate, but on this day we entered the shrine grounds from directly in front of the torii gate. The grounds are flat and very easy to navigate. There is a ramp on the left to the worship hall and offering box, so even those with mobility issues can easily pray. Goshuin stamps can be obtained at the shrine office to the left of the worship hall. Not only was the shrine register very carefully completed, but the chief priest also provided us with tea and sweets, which we were very grateful for. It rained on and off, but it was a wonderful visit!"
