"We - a group of four - spent two nights here. The rooms were spotless and spacious, great value for money and the amenities including the small supermarket and gift shop were much appreciated. Besides Sapporo, I even managed to try the much-hyped Orion beer. A special mention to the staff working at the front desk - thanks to their efforts, we managed to purchase tickets for an excursion to Gunkanjima Island: no small feat considering it was a Saturday and we hadn’t pre-booked - but thanks to a quick phone call to the tour company, we manged to secure tickets for what turned out to be an incredible day. "I recently visited i+Land Nagasaki and decided to rent a bicycle to explore the island and visit the Iojima Lighthouse. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing and ruined my entire day.
The condition of the bicycle I rented was appalling. The rear wheel was constantly being rubbed by the mudguard, making it extremely difficult to ride, especially uphill where it felt like I was pedaling against a wall. To make matters worse, the tires were almost flat, and I had to pump them myself before starting the ride. The brakes were also in terrible condition—weak and unresponsive—which made riding downhill feel extremely dangerous. I was constantly worried that I wouldn’t be able to stop in time.
With such poorly maintained equipment, it’s hard to enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere of Iojima. I expected much better service from a resort that prides itself on providing top-notch experiences. If you plan on renting a bicycle here, I’d recommend checking the condition thoroughly beforehand, or better yet, avoid it altogether."
