It's a highly recommended destination for fans of the author, offering a peaceful environment to read and explore his works, with multilingual options available. "Highly recommend visiting! The staff are so incredibly kind and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. I felt sorry that my friend and I spoke so little Japanese, and could not converse more, but despite the language barrier, we quite enjoyed speaking with the two women working there at the time. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and there are seemingly infinite books and records, as well as a small gift shop. This salon, Shayōkan (the Dazai Osamu Memorial Hall up in Aomori prefecture), and the Gyokka stone were all highlights of my travels."

"The Dazai Literary Salon is absolutely amazing! A must see for any Dazai fan. The curator knows so much and she is a delight to talk to. Most works are in Japanese, as to be expected - but English is offered in little handouts and the books as well. Definitely one of my favorites during my trip to Japan!"
