What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the beautiful waterfront location and the quality of performances at JR Shiki Theatre, with 'Frozen' being a standout experience. The modern facilities and nearby park are also highlights. However, some find the seating cramped with limited legroom and note the scarcity of concessions during intermissions.
"Multiple theaters in building. Comfortable seating. Comfortable booster cushions available. Ladies toilet line moves quickly. Home of Youth Theatre Japan. Merchandise shops inside the theater and at exit. Dining close by. Nice waterfront close by."

"Frozen musical was amazing experience even with my limited Japanese. I had seats on the balcony and could see even the actor's expressions very clearly"
Joona Heinikoski
"Beautiful building in a nice area of Tokyo. Easy access by train or car (parking is reasonable at ¥2400 daily maximum price). There is also a lovely park nearby for a stroll if you arrive early enough. And the pier is also very pretty. Only two small complaints:
My first gripe is a temporary one. Despite all the news being about the third wave of Covid-19, there was no social distancing. Every seat was sold out. Most places these days space out their patrons, but not Shiki Gekijo.
The second is that there was nowhere to get coffee or a snack during intermission. Even a vending machine would suffice. Thankfully there is a Tully's downstairs and a Lawson's in the building next door."
