What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tokyo Node Toranomon Hills is praised for its stunning city views and innovative, immersive digital art exhibitions. Its convenient location above a subway station adds to its appeal. However, some visitors find popular exhibitions to be overly crowded and expensive, with long queues detracting from the experience.
"A futuristic high rise building, suitable for many kinds of events and also strategically located above a subway station. Went here and immediately stored my luggage on a coin locker for a limited time event. Overall, it's a very convenient place to visit at any time."

"Went to the design exhibition (デザインあ展neo) on a Monday afternoon. The exhibits maybe interesting, but it is too crowded and you need to queue up (long queues) to view most exhibits. It is more crowded than any art museum, science museum I have been to. Maybe I came on an unusual crowded day? Not worth the ticket price if I need to queue like this to view the exhibits."

"Immersive Digital Art Beyond teamLab: A Hidden Gem in Tokyo
While teamLab’s exhibitions are a must-see in Tokyo, the city offers a wealth of other immersive digital art experiences worth exploring. One of my recent favourites was the muuuse immersive music exhibition at Tokyo Node.
Opened in 2023, Tokyo Node is a stunning venue on the 45th floor of Toranomon Hills Station Tower, offering dramatic views over the city. Unlike traditional museums, it doesn’t have a permanent collection, so checking their website or Instagram before visiting is essential.
Even over a year after its opening, Tokyo Node remains surprisingly under the radar—when I visited, there were hardly any other visitors. It’s a shame because muuuse was a fantastic experience! If you’re looking for a unique and immersive art exhibition beyond the usual spots, Tokyo Node is well worth a visit."

Experiencing Immersive Digital Art
While the concept is exciting, some visitors have noted that popular exhibitions can become extremely crowded, leading to significant queues for certain installations. This can detract from the immersive quality if you're constantly waiting. The pricing for these exhibitions has also been a point of discussion, with some feeling it's high given the potential for crowds and wait times.
To make the most of these experiences, consider visiting during off-peak hours, such as weekday mornings, to minimize crowds. Also, be sure to check reviews or social media for insights into which specific installations might have the longest waits, allowing you to plan your exploration accordingly.
The Toranomon Hills Location Advantage
This prime location also means that Tokyo Node is surrounded by a wealth of amenities. The Toranomon Hills complex itself is a hub for dining, shopping, and other entertainment options. This makes it easy to combine a visit to an exhibition with a meal or explore other attractions within the same modern development.
For travelers looking to store their belongings, the presence of coin lockers within the station area is a practical benefit, especially if you're attending a limited-time event or have luggage. This seamless integration of transport, views, and amenities enhances the overall visitor experience.
