Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage for its serene atmosphere, beautiful natural scenery, and spiritual depth. Many appreciate the opportunity to connect with nature and Japanese Buddhist culture. However, some find certain trails challenging and advise better preparation for hiking and potential wildlife encounters.

"I’ve been to about half of the temples in this Chichibu Kannon Fudasho. This one felt the best. Water abounds. Deep green vibes. I came on a hot sunny day in early June and felt becalmed by this place. I could remain here all day. Lovely 💚💚💚 Thank you 🙏🎉😄 PS It feels like it’s a Sotoshu temple. Need to check. If so, then even more beautiful 🤩"

"Suisenji

My brother and I visited this temple grounds. First parking is available.

There are a few shrines at the base of the hill. And then you are able to hike a trail after.

We made offerings and headed to the hike.

Personally we turned around midway because the trail gets incredibly steep at one point and we weren’t ready for that at all. But the nature surrounding the area is gorgeous.

The hike is steep like I stated so if you plan on going make sure to have appropriate shoes and gear.

There are also a lot of signs saying BEARS. More then we have seen anywhere else so I would assume there are a lot in the area so keep that in mind.

Overall I’m glad we visited but would have preferred to be better prepared."
