The best rest area in the general area is in Miyoshi-mura. It's called 鄙の里 Hina no Sato. Full name 道の駅三芳村鄙の里 Miyoshimura Hinanosato. 鄙の里 has a large separate building for its excellent and wide variety of local vegetables, fruit, meat, fresh eggs, and tradtional homemade umeboshi, local honey, and more. The other large building houses a decent restaurant and a coffee and ice cream counter."
