"On March 18, 1971, this site was selected for the construction of the Marugame City Library and Archives, and under the guidance of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Kagawa Prefectural Board of Education, a groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 11, 1972, with a total construction cost of 162.45 million yen. Construction progressed smoothly and was completed on September 30, 1972.
By utilizing this blessed facility, we are determined to carry out more extensive and powerful community service activities, contribute to the development and improvement of local culture, and promote social education.
