"Our children needed a break from temples and shrines so we decided to spend the afternoon here and it was a great success. Included with the entrance fee for the kids were super fun activities that they loved (adults had to pay a reduced fare which did not cover for the activities). And they could do them multiple times. We watched a super fun ninja show (though in Japanese, without translation, the point was to watch the acrobatics) and had lunch at one of the restaurants there. Definitely recommend."

"Uzumasa Toei Studio Park is a phenomenal place for visitors of all ages. I came here with an international exchange group of 10+ participants and they deeply enjoyed the multimedia fusion of activities ranging from obstacle courses to live action samurai demonstrations.
As our program delved into history of the Edo period, it was wonderful to receive a visual tour of the sets utilized in classic Japanese historical movies. There are plenty of rides/interactions indoor and outdoors for folks who are needing a reprieve from the unforgiving summer sun rays.
My favourite aspects of the Studio Park were the Edo period village simulation and the haunted house tour. Beware that the haunted house is quite scary, very dimly lit, and may not be appropriate for children under the age of 16 due to the fright.
Whether you are interested in history, religious culture, anime, or simply interested in exploring the expansivities of Kyoto, I highly recommend making this stop along your journey."
