"I departed here to Torokko Kameoka Station by Sagano Romantic Train on November 2024. This train offers beautiful views of the wonderful scenery of Hozu River. It was reserved seating, the reservation can be made up to one month before the desired boarding date. The No.5 Car is an open-air car with no glass windows, please note that if it rains, you may get wet. I recommend to reserved the seat on the right side. You can book for one way or round trip ticket. The hospitality of the staff members is very warming. This attraction is should on your list activities in Kyoto."

"Nice little side activity before you hit the busyness of the bamboo forest. Its a classic open train ride that takes you lush greenery along side a picturesque waterway. Take the train to the last station. From there its a short walk to a JR train station and take a modern train back. Gives you a clear contrast between the trains of then and now. Awesome ride!"
