"I have done this workshop on my two separate trips to Japan. It's a nice way to spend 1-3 hours or longer to do some art and bring home some unique souvenirs. This place offer stencil art workshops. You can choose to do the stencil on a variety of products, such as zippered pouches, T-shirts, paper fan, bags, window noren, etc. Price varies depending on the product you choose. English instructions are provided. It's better to call and make an appointment. Great activity for all ages."

"A fun and rewarding hands-on experience! We had a great time making our own chopsticks, especially thanks to Saskia’s dedicated guidance. It wasn’t an easy task, but it was definitely worth the effort. The whole process took us around three hours, but I guess it will depend on your design and skills. Afterwards, we also painted a small chopstick bag using a traditional Japanese painting technique (water soluble colors, an interesting process) that is also taught at the shop."

"Absolutely loved my yuzen experience here- it was the highlight of my three weeks in Japan!
My project took 6.5 hours to complete, but it turned out beautifully! I also did one of the larger projects, and they have quite the variety of options (& therefore time required for completion) they were very responsive when I made the appointment and inquiries.. They speak English and Japanese so it was easy, even though I didn’t need the English explanation it’s nice to be able to double check. It can be a very meditative, fun, creative experience, and I have definitely recommended it to my friends from Japan and abroad.
The only other thing I might note is that the shop is a little ways back in a courtyard off the street; but there is a big sign and the gentleman who runs the front shop is clearly used to directing folks to the correct spot."
