Reviews Summary

Taiho Ramen is celebrated for its authentic, rich tonkotsu broth and tender chashu pork, consistently earning high praise from diners. While the strong pork aroma and potential for long queues are noted drawbacks, most agree the exceptional flavor and rustic atmosphere make it a worthwhile culinary pilgrimage. It's a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts seeking a taste of Fukuoka's legendary noodle scene.

"It was excellent. This is the second time I've been to Taiho. The first time was by accident; my sisters and I had stumbled upon it after a long trip. Just like the first time, it did not disappoint. Their famed ramen broth, rich with salty and flavorful umami left a lasting impression on me. The chashuu was tasty and firm, and the egg perfectly cooked. In spite of my many years in Fukuoka, I have yet to find tonkotsu that matches Taiho's.

The shop itself maintained the rustic, country, feel of many old ramen restaurants. It felt cozy despite being pretty packed when I walked in at 17:00. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick. Perhaps the only negative I can say about the place is that there will likely be a line when you come to eat. But even then, I would say it's worth it."

"Really excellent ramen! The broth is unique as it was prepared daily using the 'resuscitation method '. Wow! They have been keeping their broth all these years by just adding new ingredients into it. No wonder: the broth tasted very deep and delicious.
The ramen has just the right chewiness pairing really well with the broth 👍"

"I recently visited the Taiho Ramen main shop, and it was amazing! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Definitely one of the best ramen experiences I’ve had in Japan!🍜🍜"
