What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking, expansive views of the Seto Inland Sea and the iconic Seto Ohashi Bridge, especially from the higher observation points. The free admission and on-site amenities like a cafe and gift shop are appreciated. However, clear weather is paramount, as fog or rain can significantly detract from the experience.
"During my roadtrip, I sadly ended up driving across these bridges when it was raining heavily and the clouds were so low, it made it all foggy and you couldn't see anything.
Luckily, the next morning the weather was clear, so I ended up driving back to this observation deck to enjoy the view.
Take into consideration that you need to park at the bottom (unless you have handicap stickers) and walk your way up the staircases to the various viewing points. It's totally worth taking the time to do so though, especially on a clear day.
I was impressed that this place is completely free to visit, yet it is well maintained and even has a cafe and gift shop alongside multiple vending machines. So worth spending some time here!"

"Went passing 2nd observation deck a 5-8mins walk to the top where you see 360 degrees scenery. I believe she'll be one of the famousest sunset place in the world (so
sad that we visited there by bus not able to stay to watch it.)"

"We rented a car and wanted to see the famous Seto bridge, and this Observation deck offers the best view of it. We skipped driving on the bridge to other side (the toll is ¥3,600 one way!) because not only it’s expensive, but you have to pay attention to the traffic and can’t really enjoy the view. So this place is the way to go: plenty parking space, toilets, various observation spots, trails, nature… you can picnic here or just relax. Very recommended!"
