"I tried it early on a weekend morning. It's about 1 km from a nearby hotel, making it a great place for a walk. If you walk around the area, it's a great place for morning training. The scenery is great and I recommend it, but the unpaved roads can get rough due to rain, so be careful in some places."

"It is a nice place to visit, tae a short walk from Komaki railway station, very peaceful streets and nice little shops and cafe. Enjoy the tranquility of the garden while walking up the hill, lot's of batterflies and flowers, of course depending on time of the year. Visiting is free of charge and you can make a stamped coin on the first floor for 100 yen. I suggest to visit if you ever will be in Komaki. Not very popular touristic site which is really nice. Komaki Castle is located in Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, on a hill called Komakiyama, not far from Nagoya and Inuyama. The castle is a reconstructed version built in 1968 and renovated in 2006. Inside, you can find the Komaki City Historical Museum, which has interesting exhibits like samurai armor, swords, firearms, and ancient artifacts found during excavations in the castle grounds. Thanks to a generous businessman from Nagoya named Shigeru Hiramitsu, a three-story reconstruction of the original keep was completed in 1968.
The castle grounds still have some of the original stone walls, a shrine, a martial arts dojo, and beautiful cherry trees and autumn leaves in season. The museum also provides information about Komaki's history, festivals, and the life of its benefactor, Shigeru Hiramatsu. It also features a statue of Buddha in Shogenji Temple, a replica of the castle's well, a Nobunaga Library, and audio-visual displays about the battles of the Komaki and Nagakute campaigns.
Additionally, there's a reproduction of a traditional merchant's home from the late Edo and early Meiji periods, complete with wooden chests and tatami floors. The whole place is modeled after the Hiunkaku Pavilion of Nishi Honganji Temple in Kyoto."
