What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Museum of Art Kochi for its beautiful architecture and serene garden, with the Chagall and Ishimoto collections being notable highlights. However, some find the pricing structure misleading, as many major exhibitions require separate, significant entry fees beyond the initial admission, and occasionally, not all areas are accessible.
"The Art Museum itself is a beautiful space, truly exceptional. The exhibit was okay."
Matthew Stovall
"Interesting art museum and nice cafe but do not be fooled by the basic free entry. At the time of my visit for most of the exhibitions you had to pay an entry fee of over 1000JPY multiple times to be able to visit the major part of the museum. Not essentially bad but a bit misleading and you have to consider not many rooms were in use even though the museum looks big on the outside. Good for on a rainy day, but otherwise not a must-see for the average tourist."
Alexander Liekens
"Nice location, nice architecture. Great garden. Unfortunately, the information on opening ours in google maps was not correct, so we were not able to enter ;("
