Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the authentic, local feel of Nada Gogo, praising the friendly staff and delicious sake and food pairings. Many highlight the unique experience of exploring traditional breweries away from tourist crowds. Some found the tasting process a bit confusing initially, with limited explanation and a ticket system that requires some navigation.

"We were welcomed in without a booking, even though a large tour group of Japanese locals had just arrived. Our host made us feel right at home — translating everything into English so we could follow along and enjoy the full experience.

The tasting was upbeat, informative, and so much fun! The sake pairings were absolutely delicious and matched each dish perfectly. When we left, it was raining, and our host even offered us his umbrella for the walk back to the train station — such a thoughtful touch.

I’ll never forget this experience — and from now on, I’ll always want a glass of sake every time I eat pancakes!"

"Confusing place. We thought they had a guided explanation of how they make sake, but they don’t. The owner/manager is super nice but just say a few words about sake.

Then you have to purchase a 3.300 jpy ticket per person that allows you to buy some finger food and try some sake. No explanation whatsoever on how to pick sake, so it’s a random walk.

Ended up taking sets of 3 sake each. Some were good, others not to our taste. Food is just ok. You have to stand while eating/drinking, although they do have chairs but you have to “reserve them in advance”. Weird."

"The vibes are SUIGOI!!! My fiance and I wanted to drink more sake in Kobe and found this gem. The owner of the shop is a very cool guy that appreciates the sake culture of Kobe. The service was amazing.

To buy drinks you have to buy drink tickets. 3,300 yen which is 15 tickets. Then if you want more you can buy the tickets in increments of 5 (1,100 yen). The drink values differ based on the sake. You can get flights or order individual sake. So many options! They also provide food pairings with sake.

I would highly recommend this place for you to sit back and enough the lovely sake from Kobe!"
