"Even though I visited twice, it was a bit of a shame I couldn't catch a lake cruise during opening hours. It wasn't intentional, but fate only allowed us a brief encounter at the pier.
Whether at sunset or sunrise, standing on the pier with a gentle breeze and an expansive view gave me a sense of freedom and exhilaration.
Especially as the morning sun slowly rose, the tranquil lake surface resembled a giant mirror. The water was still and undisturbed. While I couldn't shout or act recklessly, at that moment, perhaps only the rising sun could reflect my current state of mind.
Time quietly slipped into my fourth day in Fukushima (eleventh day since arrival). A morning walk here before breakfast gave me a sense of peace and a feeling of "leisurely relaxation."
Although I regretfully missed the lake cruise and didn't successfully complete my first task, I am content.
Next, we'll embark on a new journey, bidding farewell to Fukushima and heading to Miyagi:
▲ Fukushima/Miyagi Day 4 Itinerary (from top to bottom):
▶ Lake Hibari Cruise --> Approx. 5 minutes walk (approx. 10-minute stop)
▶ Benesian Hotel Shiraishi Zango Japanese Restaurant Konohana --> Approx. 145 minutes by car, approx. 3 minutes walk (approx. 60-minute stop)
▶ Miyagi Zango Kitsune Village --> Approx. 25 minutes by car one way, approx. 2 minutes walk (approx. 50-minute stop)
▶ Daiwa Ronet Hotel Sendai Ichibancho Premier --> Approx. 15 minutes by car, approx. 10 minutes walk
▶ Teppanyaki Matsusaka-ya --> Approx. 3 minutes walk (approx. 140-minute stop)
▲ Reflections
"Reflections" are the easiest scene to capture here, and also our last memory before leaving Fukushima. Although our stay was only two days and one night, we were left with a rare and wonderful impression of the surrounding forest ecosystem.
The shimmering water, the calm waves and tranquil mountains—a leisurely stroll on the lake at this moment, even just a simple release, would be a rare joy.
It's about a 5-minute walk back to the hotel from here. After breakfast, we will take a shuttle bus to Inawashiro Station to begin the next chapter of our journey."
