Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Mojiko Station and its surrounding Retro district for their stunning historical architecture and the feeling of stepping back in time. The area's charm, coupled with its accessibility as a day trip from Fukuoka, makes it a highly recommended destination. Some note that it can get crowded during festivals, but weekdays offer a more serene experience.

"Mojiko Station is beautiful—it really feels like stepping back in time. I actually visited twice in a row. The first time was during the Kanmon Festival, so it was extremely crowded. The second visit was the next day, and it was much quieter, which allowed me to enjoy the station more. I stopped by the information center (the staff there were very welcoming), and also visited the lost and found office next to the tracks—though that older building wasn’t as charming. Overall, I’m glad I came. It was a wonderful experience."

Kevin World

"It is a large yet quiet terminal station next to the harbour. Its bay platforms are a bit similar to those at Hakodate station, but Mojiko station building looks more traditional and grand."

Siu Y Lo

"Very nice retro European-esque station here."
