Visitors rave about Katsuyama Dino Park, particularly praising the friendly staff and the impressive life-size, moving dinosaurs that create a 'Jurassic Park' feel. "The staff inside of the park were so friendly, meeting them was a highlight of our trip. The walking part of the park takes around 20 minutes and the dinosaurs are really cool. It’s a great place to take your kids if they love dinosaurs. They have a mirror maze, mini golf, a Dino themed jungle gym and much more. Purchasing tickets was so easy right when you walk in and the price was 1,000 yen per adult. Highly recommend!!"

"Very well maintained and set up prehistoric museum. Home of the Fukui Raptor. Roughly 10-15 by bus from Katsuyama station, after a 1 hour train ride from Fukui. Staff is helpful and friendly."
Mark G
"Quite a nice hike about a mile long; it would be a nice bonus package if you have kids. There’s a parking lot next to the park if you want to skip the museum, but it wasn’t a bad walk from the museum parking lot.
The exhibits here are for the most part robotic. Motion sensors line the trail to trigger the dinosaur animations when visitors get close. It’s a treat for the kids for sure."
