Captured TODAY (Dec 8, 2025) 📸This is Tokyo’s largest riverside park and is one of the last places in the city where you can still catch fiery autumn colors in early December. 東京都内最大級の水郷公園、水元公園は、12月でもまだ紅葉が楽しめる数少ないスポット。 With wide open spaces, towering metasequoia trees, and long golden-lined paths, it’s a perfect escape for anyone looking for quiet autumn scenes away from the crowds. とくに並木が美しい メタセコ...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Mizumoto Park for its immense size, tranquil atmosphere, and beautiful natural landscapes, making it a perfect spot for relaxation, picnics, and dog walking. While it can get busy on weekends, the park's vastness ensures a sense of space. Some note that autumn foliage can be mixed depending on the exact timing of the visit.

"I was suggested to come out to this park for the seasonal leaf change, and even though it was a bit further out for me, it was still really pretty. I rated it a 4 out of 5 because the park itself is lovely, especially around sunset. If you’re standing on the right side of the lake, you can get some gorgeous views, which you’ll see in the photos I added.

As for the leaves, there wasn’t much gold or red during my visit. It was mostly deeper browns and still quite a lot of green. I might have been either a little too early or a little too late in the season. Still, it was a very easy place to get to and a really nice walk once you're there.

There’s also a small spot where you can grab food, which is great if you want to sit and enjoy the area. The bridge is currently under construction, so while you can still cross it, it doesn’t look the same as in older photos. I’m not sure exactly when the construction ends, but it looks like it’ll be a while.

Overall, it’s a beautiful park. If you’re nearby, I definitely recommend stopping by. If it’s more than an hour and a half trek for you, I’d maybe choose something closer unless you’re sure the fall colors are really showing when you go."

"Absolute must go during autumn, very pretty foliage and a beautiful lake.

The park is right next to the metasequoia park which has small spots for birdwatching and trailwalking suitable for people of all ages.

Across the lake is another parm eorth visiting however no easy way to get across unless you walk back to the most southeastern tip of the park

There were signs warning for hornets however during the time i was there none was found!"

Cadexn

"Surprisingly large park with the nature preservation plans, educational places for children (and grown ups). Beautiful in the autumn colours.
There are hummingbirds and other rare species that can be observed in a different seasons."
