What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Kasama Pottery District for its diverse artistic offerings and the unique charm of individual potter's studios. The hands-on experiences, like pottery painting, are highlighted as enjoyable for all ages, complemented by the scenic natural surroundings and helpful staff. Some find the creation and shipping times for workshops to be lengthy.
"At first, I went in with the intention of just taking a quick look and calling it a day, but I found myself looking around for about an hour as each potter had a completely different theme, design, color scheme, and so on.
I don't know the technical terms for clay and paint, but it seems that the potters are not particular about what they use in Kasama, but rather they use ingredients from all over the country according to their own preferences to create their works.
The works are also priced according to their quality, and if you like them, you can almost always buy them.
The surrounding mountains were dark green and lush and very beautiful this time, but it is expected to be beautiful again in the fall when the leaves turn red.
I would like to visit again."

"Be sure to make reservations, but this area is a nice quiet l, slow paced outing for kids, dates, or just a family outing. Nestled in the green hills of Kasama, the pottery activities are really fun. The time goes by quite quickly, so be careful. Helpful staff too. Cafe, restaurant on site with gift shop, of course. Ah, forgot to mention that there are rental bicycles available, which could make moving around in that huge pake manageable and without a car."

"Cool place to spend an afternoon! This facility is made up of several buildings. One is a large shop filled with locally made cups, bowls, and other assorted clay items. Another is a place to learn how to sculpt your own cup or bowl. Several other buildings and amenities on the hill are used for educational purposes. This is not the museum—it’s located about a hundred yards away and is filled with lots of different pottery and clay artifacts."
