What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kunenan Garden is a highly sought-after autumn destination, praised for its stunning maple foliage and peaceful, non-commercial atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the vibrant colors and the adjacent Niiyama Shrine, though its extremely limited annual opening period is a significant planning hurdle.
"We visited the place on November 16, 2023. It is open to the public for a week only. We checked the website to make sure the opening hours. This garden is inside Niiyama Shrine. Even if this garden is not open, the shrine is worth a visit with its equally pretty autumn colors. There are small stalls on the way to the garden and the shrine, giving a very pleasant atmosphere. People said it was warm this year and thus the leaves had not turned red enough yet, but I loved the different colors of yellow, orange, red, and even green."
