What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nakaizu Winery Chateau TS offers stunning vineyard views with Mount Fuji as a backdrop, alongside unique activities like horseback riding and onsen. While some visitors praise the wine tasting and friendly atmosphere, others have noted issues with food quality, pricing, and staff attentiveness.
"Actually quite disappointed. For the price charged the food was only mediocre. The wasabi chicken missed all the salt and did not have much wasabi aroma.
The miso pork loin was basically the same. Both dishes are quite pricey compared to the surrounding.
The staff was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant menu for local wines is too small unless you want to buy bottles."

"Very unprofessional, don't bother coming.
Staff did not label or mark tastings the way normal wineries do, and they were reluctant to give me paper to make my own notes. Also didn't want to give me a tray to carry my samples to a table. Wines were sour and poor quality. Cashier couldn't properly add up the cost of my tastings and tried to give me 1,000 Yen less change than was correct.
Very pretty and nice view of Mt Fuji.
Japanese language only, this place is not for tourists. Not very friendly or welcoming staff."
Darcy Lewis
"Very foreigner friendly. The tasting wines were delicious. Tasting notes were available, however, you may need google translate to help you.
Short walk to the tables, so no need for a tray.
Staff are very friendly and speak English.
Dog friendly."
