"Lovely view"
Erica Toussaint
"There is a traverse route from Shiroyama and a hiking trail from downstream of Kintaikyo Bridge. Just after starting up the hiking trail downstream of Kintaikyo Bridge, there is a great view spot of Kintaikyo Bridge, and I have seen an Edo period painting at the Chokokan Museum that is thought to have been drawn from there. There are several Jizo statues along the way. I think it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to climb. The view from the observation deck is fantastic, and you can see all of Iwakuni, and on a clear day you can even see as far as Shikoku."

"There are fewer people than at the ropeway, so you can relax. There are also benches so you can sit back and enjoy the view."
