Reviews Summary

Visitors generally praise the Ohara Port Morning Market for its incredibly fresh seafood and lively Sunday atmosphere. The variety of grilled items and local produce is a major draw. However, some find the market can get overwhelmingly crowded, leading to long queues and sold-out items, and a few note that prices, especially for premium items like lobster, can be quite high.

"I arrived near 8am and there was still parking lot available. It was a crowded Sunday market with stalls for seafood, local produce and sweets. As the stores are small and the market was packed with visitors, expect to queue up for food. I had boat skewer, oyster soup and octopus balls which were ok. The lobster soup stall had a long queue so I gave up. I planned to visit the restaurant next to the market but it opens at 10am. So I didn't try lobster and kinmedai. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere but would be better if there were more stores"

"Market was unfortunately not held the day we went there :( so we went to eat fresh fish and lobster at the small barbecue restaurant right next to the market place. Later we have seen a lot of Isakayas nearby, which looked much more pretty. The meal was really pricey. Didn’t expect a single small lobster to be at 5500¥ at such a place! But taste was ok. Would not go there second time..."

"Came for the hadaka matsuri and it was well worth the trek, a really unique and fun matsuri. Didn’t actually use the fish market so if you’re reading this for the fish I do apologise🙏"
