"This place is where you’re taken on snorkelling tours. The reef is about 50-70m from the beach and you could mostly walk to it as the depth varies from 1-2m most of the way.
Sea snakes are there along with a host of other reef dwelling fish. This is considered a “secret spot” by the locals. There are no facilities except a very small car park. But you will not be alone - snorkelling tours by van and boat are here all day in good weather."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When visiting with children, prioritize safety by ensuring they wear water shoes to protect their feet from rocks. Bringing floatation devices can also add an extra layer of security if they plan to venture into slightly deeper water for snorkeling. Consider joining a family-friendly tour that caters to younger swimmers, as they often have guides who can point out interesting sights and ensure everyone's well-being.
🐠 Snorkelers & Divers
While you can access the reef by walking during low tide, joining a snorkeling tour can enhance the experience. Tours often take you to the best parts of the reef and provide expert guidance. Remember to bring your own gear if you prefer, and always practice responsible snorkeling by not touching the coral or disturbing the marine life.

It's important to remember that this is a natural habitat. While exciting to observe, it's crucial to respect the marine life and avoid touching or disturbing the coral and animals. Many tours emphasize the importance of ikejime, a humane fish-killing method, highlighting the local respect for the ocean's bounty.
Best Practices for Visiting
Since there are no restrooms or shops on-site, it's essential to bring all your necessities.
