"Great train ride from Kagoshima Chuo to Ibusuki on Ibutama. Please book ahead at JR Kyushu. Recommend to book a return trip.

"It’s a rather small station but it’s your gateway to sightseeing in Ibusuki. There is a small office at the far end before going out and exiting to the toilet. There are helpful people there if you happen to arrive in Ibusuki without having planned your day hehehe. There are quite a number of places to visit, however of you only depend on the bus, it might not be possible to access them all. There are taxis right outside the station, but of course we know how much they cost. There’s a one-day bus pass for only 1,100 yen (adult) by the way."

"Ibusuki is a wonderful town and this little station is a great example of it. The waiting room is comfortable with all the amenities (Wi-Fi, clean restroom, etc...) and there's a hot foot bath out front with a bonus naked people sculpture in the middle. There's a nearby 7-11 where you can stock up on lunch for your day trip, too. Savvy train travelers will know that it's quite a ways ride from here in either direction before you get another bathroom break so pick your drinks wisely:) 2016-2019, 2024"
