Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning, unobstructed panoramic views of Hiroshima from Orizuru Tower, highlighting its unique timber design and the meaningful origami crane-folding activity. The fun slide descent and friendly staff also receive high praise, making it a memorable and engaging experience for all ages.

"Amazing views from this incredibly designed tower. The view from the top is unmatched and the enclosed open air viewing deck is architecturally very unique. The interior space is fully cladded in timber with a gentle slope towards the perimeter of the building envelope. A spiral slope takes you from the top floor to the 1st while you engage with the artwork on every floor to solve a quiz for a little token prize at the end. For those not interested in the quiz, there's a slide that also takes you down to 1st level in a fraction of the time. You can also participate in folding cranes and contribute to the collection piling up on the facade if the building. Very meaningful and worth your time if you have it."

"Amazing views! Unlike most observation decks we have been to in Japan, this one isn’t enclosed in glass on all sides, which I think made for even better views. The staff were also all so very friendly, even offering to take pictures for us unasked. We will definitely return the next time we are in Hiroshima!"

"What a special way to pay your respects.
We headed up to a spectacular viewing platform which included not only the city of Hiroshima but also an aerial view of the Atomic Bomb Dome.
For an added cost we were also able to make our own Orizuru (folded crane) which is the most recognised form of origami. Thankfully, they had an instructional video and additionally, the staff were on hand to help (which we needed) to complete this intricate symbol of peace.
Once completed we released our birds down into the side of the buildings wall, adding ours to the thousands released before us.
Lastly, and one that lifted the mood, we were able to take the slide from the top of the building to the ground floor. The slide is built to stop at each level so loads of fun for people of all ages.
The staff from the entrance and all the way to the gift shop were extremely friendly and helpful and the artwork throughout was beautiful.
As a whole we found this a unique place to visit. Would definitely recommend!"
