The tours offer a relaxed pace and insightful cultural commentary, making them highly recommended. Some minor dislikes include potential for hot weather in summer and the need for advance booking.
"Had a really good cycle tour led by our guide, Ayato. Small group and gentle route. super helpful and informative. Apart from the superb scenery and culture, the information was well spaced, paced and informative. I particularly liked the stories about how rice is produced and about the background to the fish in the town canals and how every winter they are transferred to a small pond to protect them from winter."

"Lovely tour - Char and Kazuki were perfect guides: warm, charming, funny. So glad we booked this tour through the Hida-Fukurawa countryside. We had perfect weather, an easy route, learned about the vegetables grown in the area, watched rice being harvested, had yummy crackers with green tea, fed kois in the canals. Everything was very professional - I can only recommend the tour and the company offering the tour."

"We enjoyed a great cycle tour with our enthousiastic guide Hisa. We cycled through the rice paddies, learned about the different kind of rice and the way to harvest. We had some nice stops during our relaxed tour, such as a stop at local food market and tea stop and enjoying local cookies. We were lucky with the weather and it was good to start early morning due to the hot day. Hisa took also care about the safety of our group. Afterwards we received some great pictures. Many thanks Hisa and Satoyama for our great experience!"
