It's appreciated for its quiet atmosphere and connection to local traditions, especially during festivals. Some note its role as an auxiliary shrine to Itsukushima, offering a more serene experience.

"Good shrine. Plenty of parking and protection."

Shuu Mitsui

"This is a place to stop by on your morning walk. Two security guards come every day from early morning until 6am to maintain and clean the grounds and keep the shrine looking its best. The old traditions and dignity are maintained here. The Goryogi Festival on the 5th of the 5th month of the lunar calendar and the Gozabune boats of the Miyajima Kangen Festival, one of Japan's three major maritime festivals, are festivals that visit this local Gozen Shrine. The festivals are exciting!"

後藤昭

"I stopped by to meet up with someone.
I didn't know this was the Geku (Outer Shrine) of Itsukushima Shrine.
I just made an offering and stopped in, so I only took a few photos, but it was a place with a very relaxing atmosphere.
Despite the train tracks being right next to it, it was quiet and the only sound to be heard was the sound of cicadas.
Next time I'd like to stop by and take my time."
