"Located on Yamabiko Road, National Route 317, the station is very spacious with ample parking. It features the Yamato Morning Market, shops surrounding the courtyard plaza, the Yamato Onsen Yasuragikan natural hot spring, and the Marriott Hotel behind it, all with parking at various locations. I visited the shops centered around the courtyard plaza, but the rows of shops make it hard to believe they're a roadside station. It's almost like a highway rest area, so it could be compared to a roadside station. There's a semi-underground footbath in the center of the plaza, so you can stay dry even in the rain. The souvenir shop, of course, has many products related to the area's famous sweetfish. The wonderful aroma of grilled sweetfish wafted through the air, but I gave up after eating. The parking lot can accommodate eight large vehicles, 196 standard-sized cars, five handicap parking spaces, and EV charging stations. Even on a rainy weekday, the station was bustling with activity."
