Visitors find Kakazu Takadai Park to be a beautiful and historically significant site, offering rewarding panoramic views from its summit. While the steep stairs to the top are a notable challenge, the park provides accessible ramps and restrooms for those with mobility concerns. It's a poignant memorial to the Battle of Okinawa, with informative signs enriching the experience.

"It’s beautiful but be prepared for steep steps. Anyone with wheelchairs can access this there are ramps on two sides meant for disability access and there are accessible toilets for all. There are also side paths that you can see other areas like the bunker and signs mostly have English translations. To go up the globe is only stairs though. Very steep steps here also there are 3 levels.

A lot to see takes about 20 - 30 minutes depending on your fitness level. AD military easy 10 minutes around unless you take your time 🙌🏼"

"Steep stairs lead to a globe viewing point overlooking the Futenma airfield and on November 3rd the weather was good so you get a very good view right the way to the American Village and Ginowan. If you are interested in the final stages of WWII and the fighting on Okinawa and know a little of the history it’s a very interesting, informative monument to visit - reminding us that we are living in unsettled times even now 80 years after 1945."

Ian Robertson

"Love it, there's a nice park for children at the bottom. There are two trails up along the sides and then of course the central stairs. At the top of the platform you get a wonderful view of Okinawa and the nearby military base."
