"It was raining heavily so we were the only people visiting the park. The groundskeeper was very kind, she even let us borrow and umbrella, as the rain had caught us by surprise in our insufficient raincoats. The park is beautifully landscaped and the architectural pieces were a pleasure to visit. As an architecture student, it was particularly interesting to see the effectiveness of ancient construction methods in action, especially in the rain (the interiors, covered by straw roofs and the sliding paper doors were completely dry). Loved seeing orange lilies growing atop the straw roofs."
