What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marinoa City Fukuoka is a seaside outlet mall appreciated for its pleasant atmosphere, harbor views, and accessible location. While some find it smaller than other outlets, its less crowded nature and pet-friendly policy are definite advantages. Visitors enjoy the Sky Wheel and the variety of shops and dining options, though some note it may be more geared towards women's fashion.
"Although I have been to Fukuoka a few times, I have never gone to an outlet mall before so decided to hop by for a day to see how it is.
Relatively small compared to others and shops size just about the same too, but I do like that it has lesser traffic compare to others.
Had a cheese & honey toast at the coffee shop and done extra roasted coffee to power through.
I like the idea that it is close to the seaside so it makes it an ideal place to chill over the weekend under the sun with a nice iced coffee.
They have a few eateries, around 10 of them that varies from Japanese to Chinese to western and have a Macdonald there too.
This outlet is pet friendly so also managed to see a few fur parents brining their fur kids for walks.
If you do not like overcrowded malls, this can be a good option. I took the bus which use the PASMO and it is super convenient, around 20 mins from city center. Just remember Japanese bus entrance is from the back unlike Singapore which is the fronts. :)"

"This outlet has many different types of shops. Some shops sell cheaper items while some price are high. Not all the shops have tax refund. Need to check or the catalog or ask the sales.
This outlet is more suitable for ladies. Not too many shops and items for men. Bring your wife here and you can have your free day :)
Have some restaurants and food court. There is a ferris wheel which can see the seaview."

This makes it a worthwhile destination for those seeking fashion deals. The presence of a food court and various eateries ensures visitors can refuel during their shopping spree.

Iconic Views and Activities
Beyond the Sky Wheel, the seaside promenade itself is an attraction. Strolling along the waterfront, watching the yachts, and feeling the sea breeze provides a relaxing counterpoint to the shopping. This area is also noted as being pet-friendly, allowing visitors to bring their dogs for a walk, adding to the relaxed, community feel of the place.
While primarily an outlet mall, the inclusion of these scenic and recreational elements elevates Marinoa City Fukuoka beyond just a retail destination. It's a place where you can shop, dine, and enjoy the coastal scenery, making it a well-rounded leisure spot.
Accessibility and Transportation
For those who prefer to drive, paid parking is available.
