What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Fukuoka City Zoological and Botanical Gardens to be a charming and affordable attraction, particularly praising the beautiful botanical gardens and the unique nocturnal zoo experience. While the hilly terrain and summer heat can be challenging, the low entry fee and well-maintained grounds make it a worthwhile visit for families and budget travelers alike.
"The entry fee is 600yen. They have the zoo and botanical garden, both is fun and I especially liked that they have plenty of access to clean toilet everywhere. It was hot when I went there so most of the animals are taking nap, I probably will go for second time in fall because they have the area specific for autumn plants.
For meal, the restaurant by the entry is about 1500yen per dish and the one by botanical garden is like 1000yen on average. The closing hour 4:30, it's better if you go in the early morning if you want to take your time to enjoy the whole park. Def recommended :)"

"The entry fee is ridiculously cheap. We went on a Thursday morning and it was pretty quiet, which was great.
🍝🌮The restaurant served surprisingly good food ,way better than expected
We couldn’t finish the whole route around the zoo and only managed to see about a quarter of the animals because it was just way too hot outside 😢😭absolutely scorching, we couldn’t handle it 😭😭😭.
Would definitely recommend coming on a cooler day or when the weather’s nicer!

"I enjoyed seeing a variety of God's creatures. Family oriented atmosphere with kid's carnival rides. A botanical garden is also available for a family picnic. Took almost 3 hours to venture throughout the well made landscape. Visitors with difficulty walking would be a challenge."
