What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bayside Place Hakata is appreciated for its tranquil bay views and the surprisingly relaxing aquarium, making it a pleasant stop, especially for families or those waiting for ferries. While some find it lacks extensive shopping and dining options, its scenic location and peaceful ambiance are often highlighted as its main draws.
"Nothing happening in this mall at all. There are some shops and eateries but nothing much else. There is a cylindrical aquarium with sharks/turtles in it. Quite relaxing watching the fishes. 🐟 🐠 it’s on the way to Hakata Port Tower, so just drop by to see whats there. Most shops were closed at late evening. Venture out to the pier side for a good view of the sea and sunset. Nice wind not too strong that day. There is a duty free complex opposite and it’s thronged with tourists mostly from 🇨🇳 they just shop and leave on tour buses not even stopping over to see this place. Not really travelling these people. 😔"

"Came over to try cheap and good sushi, grilled seafood, and enjoy good coffee near the bay. Also, not forgetting going up to the tower and seeing the largest fish tank in Hakata.
Firstly, it's very convenient to come with the public buses. Also, the ambiance here is good and very enjoyable for the family. Large open spaces and fresh air to enjoy. Really nice and highly recommended to come."

"Aquarium inside the building! Students playing piano. We were here as a meet up place for sumo. You will not get bored of waiting as the place is scenic. You can walk along the bay or just sit on benches and appreciate the view."
