Reviews Summary

The Fujinomiya Trail is praised for its directness and speed to the summit, offering a challenging yet rewarding climb. Visitors appreciate the stunning views and the spiritual significance of the Okumiya Shrine. However, the trail's steepness and rocky terrain can be demanding, and facilities like toilets are often noted as being in poor condition. TikTokReddit

"This is the starting point for the Fujinomiya Trail, which is the shortest and steepest route to the summit of Mount Fuji. It begins at a higher elevation compared to other trails, around 2,400 metres, making it the fastest way up in terms of distance and time, though the ascent is more direct and physically demanding.

Ideal if you're aiming for a quicker climb, but be prepared for a steeper hike with less gradual acclimatisation. I did my hike on 25 June, started at 6:15am and returned by 1:50pm."

"Buses are available for Mishima and fuji station at very reasonable cost.
Toilate are very dirty and smelly .
Recommend you get food from station since here very expensive."

Ramsharan singh Sikarwar

"I summited Mt. Fuji via the Fujinomiya trail on 27th October, 2024. Started the hike at 3:30am and summited at about 7:30. The trail is quite steep with a lot of rocks to climb over. Weather was decent, although it was kind of windy (which made it feel colder than it was) and the first 200m vertical were inside of clouds. The gate can be walked around, toilets and other facilities did not work."

The Fujinomiya Trail: A Steep Ascent

The Fujinomiya Trail is the shortest route to the summit of Mt. Fuji, starting at a higher elevation (around 2,400 meters) than other trails. This means less distance to cover, but the ascent is significantly steeper and more direct. It's often described as a challenging climb due to its rocky terrain and consistent incline, requiring good physical fitness. TikTokReddit

This trail is popular for those seeking a quicker summit experience, but it offers less opportunity for gradual acclimatization, which can be a factor for some climbers. The trail is well-marked, but the steepness means you'll be doing a lot of scrambling over rocks, especially in the upper sections. TikTok
