Reviews Summary

Tendon Ginza Itsuki is celebrated for its delicious, crispy, and non-greasy halal tempura, served in generous portions with a flavorful sauce. While the intimate setting leads to queues, diners find the wait worthwhile for the authentic taste and friendly service. Some find the tempura itself slightly bland, but the overall experience is highly recommended.

"Came across this halal tempura shop near the Uniqlo.

The shop got a cool vibe. We went there during afternoon and the queue was quite long.

I ordered the special tendon and excellent tendon. It came to my surprise that the tempura tastes quite bland and average though it is crispy. The batter might be too basic i guess, but the shrimp, and eel itself tasted quite rich and okay which helps a bit to elevate the taste.

The soft boil egg complement the taste together with veggies. Overall, I would say no ‘wow factor’ as it is quite average in general. The service is good as the cashier is quite friendly and helpful. 3.5/5 for me."

"I found this amazing tempura restaurant completely by accident while walking around looking for something simple to eat — and wow, what a great surprise!

At first, the line wasn’t too long, so I decided to queue up. But soon after, the line got really long, and I started to wonder if this was a famous spot. Turns out, it absolutely deserves the hype!

The staff were super friendly and spoke English very well, which made everything easy for tourists or foreigners. The wait was quite long, but it was totally worth it. Once I tasted the food, I understood why people were lining up — it was outstanding!

The tempura was unbelievably crispy (I have no idea how they fried it so perfectly!), the steamed egg was delicious, and even the miso soup was amazing. They also sell their own homemade tempura sauce — I bought a bottle because it was just that good!

Overall, everything was excellent. Highly recommended if you love kind like this. I heard they have a few branches, but I was lucky to stumble upon this one — and I’m so glad I did!"
