Reviews Summary

Kanadaya in Ginza is celebrated for its visually stunning and artfully presented Japanese desserts, particularly the kakigori and daifuku. While many visitors are captivated by the aesthetic appeal and unique flavor combinations, some reviews suggest the taste doesn't always match the hype or the price point. Service experiences can also be mixed.

"The mochi was good but the kakigori was the star, especially the strawberry. Next day we came back but the texture was a bit more icy and coarse. Still delicious though. They put some caramelized almonds inside which is a great combination!"

Abdulla Jasem

"This place is over rated, saw it recommended by several influencers, the place it self was underwhelming, even with the floating desserts, the deserts themselves were ok, and the service was terrible, would not recommend, especially if you are a tourist, we did not feel very welcome here even though we had a reservation and there was no one else there, we felt rushed and were told everyone had to order 2 items for us to even sit down, we planned to order several items but after that welcome, we ordered our expected minimum and left. Giving 2 stars because their matcha drink was decent."

Melissa T

"Interesting sweets with nice attention to details, feels like a miniatures. However, the taste was nothing special, mocha with some fruits, honestly expected a bit unique taste!"
