"Have stayed in this property twice and will always try to stay here when visiting Tokyo whenever possible. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are not cookie-cutter and each layout has their own flair. We have stayed 3 times so far, each time in a different room type with different view. Love the breakfast, the quality and options were amazing during our stay. But the best quality of this hotel to us is their service, the guest service team is attentive while not overbearing, and they're always one step ahead of our need. Case example is when we came back after afternoon outing - we were checking out very early the next morning, one of their team greeted us in the lobby and kindly ask what time we were planning to leave for the airport and gave us very useful guidance and information. He even had the station map ready on hand! Another time, we were exiting from the main lobby, and one of their team greeted us and offered us umbrellas since it's drizzling. He also asked if we need help getting taxis (seeing we were dressed formally for dinner). Their concierge team is also something else. Marrie Antoinette Mori and her whole team is always very helpful and they've helped us securing coveted reservations in 3-star restaurants the last 2 times we stayed. It's really those little touches which make a hotel stay memorable and special."

"A Truly Immersive Historical Experience with Minor Quirks

My stay at The Tokyo Station Hotel was largely magnificent. It is more than just a hotel; it's a living museum and a stunning piece of history.

The architecture and interior design are the undisputed stars. Staying here feels like a privilege. The perfect blend of the original "Tatsuno-style" red brick facade and the modern, elegant interior—like the beautiful yet minimalist glass partitions in the ground-floor restaurant that echo the Taisho-era romance—is masterful. The commitment to the theme is everywhere: from the classical European-style soft furnishings in the room and the fresh flowers adorning the long hallways to the historical photographs on the walls. Waking up to the complimentary newspaper and enjoying the exquisite breakfast buffet (which was delicious and beautifully presented) further enriched the classic, refined experience.

The service is impeccable, with staff being exceptionally attentive and professional.

However, a few practical points prevent a full 5-star rating. Most notably, our room's bathroom had a slight, persistent musty smell from the pipes, which is at odds with the otherwise luxurious atmosphere. Furthermore, the hotel's restaurants close quite early, meaning we were unable to have dinner in the hotel on a night we arrived late—a significant inconvenience for a luxury property. Lastly, the hotel's unique, long, linear corridor layout, while beautiful, can be a bit disorienting and easy to get lost in.

Despite these quirks, the hotel's unparalleled charm and historical significance make it a highly recommended stay. I would gladly return, hoping for a room with updated plumbing and with better planning for dinner."

"On our first day in Tokyo, due to the terrible service and deteriorating room cleanliness at the Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, we were faced with an urgent need to change hotels.

At that moment, the Tokyo Station Hotel came to mind from our list of preferred hotels. However, only one day was available on the official website, so my husband and I decided we had to check in there directly no matter what. Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately felt the professional and friendly service from everyone, including the doormen and all reception staff. This instantly relaxed our tense mood. After informing the hotel of our situation and requesting accommodation, we were very grateful that everything could still be arranged.

During our stay, many impressive details made me want to respond carefully to this feedback inquiry letter. Especially since my husband and I enjoy experiencing different hotels around the world and have even stayed in 'Palace' grade hotels in Paris, we sincerely believe that everything at The Tokyo Station Hotel is superior to those hotels that don't live up to their names.

During our stay, all staff everywhere we went greeted guests politely and kindly, without exception. Most surprisingly, everyone treated us with a warm smile.

The service staff at the hotel breakfast were always very proactive in assisting dining guests. Furthermore, when we were selecting food, if staff members were organizing the dishes, they would kindly introduce the items and assist us. What impressed me even more is that for a buffet breakfast, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness depends entirely on diligent organization of the food items and replacement of shared utensils!

For this trip, I booked two separate stays at The Tokyo Station Hotel. The night before the end of the first part of our trip, I emailed the hotel to ask if they could assist with restaurant reservations during our second stay. The next morning when checking out, the staff immediately informed me that the concierge would like to discuss my dining needs shortly. This demonstrates the hotel's attention to guest needs, and such a rapid response is truly amazing!

Thank you to the staff at the hotel reception who assisted us in real-time to check availability and arrange rooms. We apologize for being so last-minute and not being able to remember all of your names. Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a comfortable hotel and for turning our anxiety into peace of mind.
