What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Alts Bandai is praised as a beautiful ski resort in Fukushima with excellent powder snow and a longer season than many. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, good facilities, and stunning views. However, it can get crowded, and food at the mid-mountain lodge receives mixed reviews.
"Really nice ski resort in Fukushima, the season runs a bit later than most places in the area and starts sooner than other places! The powder quality was excellent when I went. So time is right and you may also be blessed. 😇 I had a lot of fun slipping into some tree areas
The ski pass can be bought online for a 500yen discount, at least when I went, and your ski lift card can be returned at the end of the day for 500 yen or exchanged directly for a crepe or ice cream which is fun 💕 😋
Food at the mid mountain lodge I went to eat at was… so so. The French tacos are basically just hot pockets but the wait to get them is eternal and it’s like a thin burrito with mostly cheese. I was absolutely starving so I was disappointed, but the taste was fine. I think if you want a proper meal the bottom of the mountain is a better bet.
The bottom lift might be crowded but once you are up higher there are much less people and less lines. The resort is definitely more fun with higher level skiers."

"Nice ski resort! The staff are very nice. I visited there on the long weekend and it a bit crowded. The longest we waited for a lift was about 15 mins."
Pang Thunyalak
"Great skiing resort. The hills are fun and well constructed. However, it is crowded and the snows are all squished. I highly recommend going to the place on weekdays. But yea, it is very very beautiful."
