"Amazing sceneries! I visited with my husband and my 9 year old daughter. Most of the paved paths were easy to climb and family friendly. We did see some serious trekkers on the dirt trails heading up to the edge of the crater but we did not have the energy for that. I also wish we had known earlier to prepare masks or towels to cover our faces in case plumes of sulphuric gases got swept in our direction. But then again we probably didn’t get close enough to the crater to need that equipment.
One thing to note, only 2 of 4 toilet cubicles were functioning when we visited. Both sinks were also broken. Do use the washroom before visiting."

"Fantastic hiking opportunity! Bring your boots, water, and poles! The simplest loop is about 4 miles. Ascend on the left side, hand over foot bouldering in some places, but all the rocks are naturally welded together so you always have super positive, juggy hand and foot holds. Views from the top are outstanding Takadote and Nakadote are phenomenal. In mid May, you will see all the azaleas in bloom at the base!"
