"Akkeshi-Kiritappu-Konbumori Quasi-National Park is a Quasi-National Park in eastern Hokkaidō, Japan. Established in 2021, the park spans the municipalities of Akkeshi, Hamanaka, Kushiro, and Shibecha. It subsumes and replaces the former Akkeshi Prefectural Natural Park, established in 1955"

"There is a large private parking lot and a well-maintained, easy-to-walk promenade. The promenade does not go all the way to the tip of Aikappa Cape, but continues to a field on a hill with a good view where a bell-ringing monument is located. From there, the view is blocked by trees and the end of Aikappa Cape is not visible. I could see something that resembled a path, but it was already dusk and dark, so I didn't have the energy to go to the tip from here. The distance from the parking lot to the hill is about 500m and takes about 5 minutes. There was a natural history museum on the way, but it was already closed at this time.
The top of this hill is at a particularly high point among the capes, hills, and plateaus that rise far above the sea level as far as the eye can see, and the view of the coastline with its different elevations and the endless sea stretching out before you from here was magnificent."
