"This is not a review. Purely informative on some of the information I was researching before my pilgrimage and the answers.
There is a small gift shop. Simple items and can fit 3-4 people in there. Skillfully and swiftly taken care by our kind sisters. Cash only. There are slippers to wear after taking off your shoes upon entering the main gate. Bring paper and pencil/pen for a petitions box. For the time that I was there, I did not see another Taxi and fortunately, our taxi driver agreed to stay and wait for us.
From the Akita station, it was a short taxi ride and round trip cost less than 8,000 yen. I think it was close to 3600 each way for me. (Dated: 18 Nov. 2025)
I loved being there and the opportunity to see it in person is a wonderful experience."
