What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Villagonia Bay is praised for its stunningly clear waters and beautiful scenery, offering a refreshing escape. However, visitors must be prepared for a rocky beach, making water shoes essential. Access via the main path is extremely dangerous and strongly discouraged, with parking also noted as pricey.
"A great day trip to go see. I wish we found this place early in our trip. Parking is easy but a bit expensive. They have boat, kayak and paddle board rentals right there. The water is very rocky but once you get to the water, it's absolutely beautiful. I would have spent another day here in the water!"

"Do NOT walk from Corso Umberto to this beach on foot!! The footpath is deteriorated and incredibly dangerous with no railings and slippery slopes with barely any steps! If you are an older person, don’t take this path! If you have balance issues do not take this path! There are tiny rocks that slide and it’s a steep slope to the bottom. One misstep and you’ll be falling to your death. I DO NOT recommend this beach at all! Of you do survive the path of slippery slopes and rocks, the beach sucks anyways. Once you get to the beach, it’s full of pebbles and slippery rocks under the water too! This is the worst beach I’ve ever been to!! Save yourself and go somewhere else."

"Small stones on any Italian beach leaves unweary swimmers a bit u comfortable, strongly suggest cross or similar dive shoes, but water clear and some public access"
