What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Crestarella Beach offers a beautiful setting with clear waters and a well-regarded on-site restaurant, providing a comfortable beach club experience. While many enjoy the amenities and views, some visitors find the pricing for sunbeds and umbrellas to be high, and caution is advised regarding bar orders. It's a place that offers convenience and relaxation, but value for money can be subjective.
"Very pretty beach. Not crowded. 12€ for a sunbed on the deck, which was perfect. The restaurant was great as well, very good service from Luca!"

"Beautiful beach, not overcrowded. We been far from the bar in 3rd row but we liked it as there was not a lot of people and still very close to the water. We enjoyed it a lot. Be careful when ordering at the bar, always ask for the bill as they tried to knock us for €5. Lady looked annoyed when we asked for the bill. Clear water, for 3rd row umbrellas and sunbeds we paid €45 and the first row is €60. All day parking €7"

"Beautiful private beach club. Entry for 2 beds and 1 umbrella is €60 for front row and €45 for other rows, would recommend being based on the left to be nearer to bar, showers, etc. There are changing rooms, cold and hot showers (hot shower costs €1), tap water, and a restaurant. The restaurant has a good menu, most dishes €10-15 and cocktails around €10. We loved it so much we travelled from Salerno to use it a second day."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider opting for rows further back to potentially get more space between sunbeds, which can be beneficial with young children. Always double-check pricing for all services, including any potential charges for children's activities or meals, to budget accordingly. The convenience of having everything on-site can be a major plus for families looking for a hassle-free beach day.
💰 Budget Travelers
However, if you decide to visit, focus on the essentials. Perhaps rent just one sunbed and umbrella for a group, or consider visiting during the week when crowds might be slightly lower. Bringing your own snacks and drinks (if permitted) could also help manage costs, though beach clubs often have policies against outside food.
couples
Consider splurging on a front-row spot for a more exclusive feel, or opt for a mid-row position for a balance of comfort and value. The clear waters are ideal for a shared swim, and the relaxed atmosphere of the beach club can make for a memorable day out.

Understanding La Crestarella's Beach Club Model
Some visitors appreciate the convenience and comfort provided by the beach club setup, highlighting the good service from staff like Luca and the quality of the restaurant. They find the price justified for a full day of relaxation. Conversely, others feel the pricing is steep, especially when considering that basic necessities like towels or even a bottle of water come at an extra cost. This perspective often leads to the feeling that the experience is a 'tourist trap' rather than a genuine slice of coastal charm.
For those planning a visit, it's crucial to research current pricing and understand what is included. Being aware of the tiered pricing system and the additional costs for services like hot showers or specific food items will help manage expectations and ensure a more satisfying visit. Considering a weekday visit or opting for rows further from the front can also influence the overall experience and perceived value.
Dining and Refreshments at La Crestarella
However, a key piece of advice from past visitors is to exercise caution when ordering at the bar. One review specifically mentioned an attempt to overcharge, emphasizing the importance of always asking for the bill to verify the total. While this seems to be an isolated incident, it serves as a reminder to stay attentive to your orders and payments.
Beyond the restaurant, basic amenities like cold showers are free, which is a welcome convenience. Hot showers are available but come with a small fee of €1. Tap water is also accessible. These facilities contribute to the overall comfort of a day spent at the beach club.
