What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning panoramic views from the Basilica Palladiana terrace, making it a prime spot for sunset aperitivo. While the location and architecture are universally praised, some reviewers note that service can be slow and prices are on the higher side, with mixed experiences regarding staff attentiveness.

"Perfect place to take visitors or start your evening with cocktails."

"I took some of my friends for aperitivo. First of all, it doesn't make sense to make guests pay when they will order drinks at the bar. Service was slow, there was only ONE waitress attending all tables and they orders were wrong. Prices are higher compared to other bars, which it is understandable for the location (my star went only for the view) but the service should also be impeccable. We waited more than 40mins to get our drinks, and it wasn't even during the weekend. Will not return in the future."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider visiting earlier in the evening before it gets too crowded. If you're looking for more kid-specific activities, Vicenza offers parks like Parco Querini, which has rabbits and is a great place for a picnic. The Basilica itself, with its grand architecture, can also spark curiosity in younger visitors.
💖 Couples & Romantic Getaways
For an even more intimate experience, consider visiting on a weekday evening when crowds are thinner. The nearby Vicolo Cieco Retrone, with its poetic quotes and flowers, offers a quiet, philosophical corner for a romantic stroll, just a stone's throw from the Basilica.
💰 Budget Travelers
If you do choose to visit the terrace, consider ordering just one drink to share or opting for a less expensive wine to manage costs. Remember that the main draw is the view and atmosphere, which can be appreciated even without a lavish spend.

Many visitors recommend this spot as an ideal place to start an evening, whether you're with friends, family, or on a romantic outing.
