"Today is our one year wedding anniversary, and as we were reminiscing on our wedding, we finally are leaving a long, overdue review of San Giusto Abbey. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
We were struck by the beauty of the building after we landed after a long flight and 2 hour drive from Rome. Ippolita, Simone and all their dogs welcomed us. They showed us to the bridal suite, which was both grand and rustic, full of character and history. The next day we explored the grounds, and it felt like stepping back in time.
What made the entire experience so special was how effortless it all was. Having planned 500+ weddings, Ippolita has curated an incredible network of vendors for flowers, music, and food. We only had to make a few simple selections, and from there, everything came together seamlessly. At first, we were nervous that it was too easy, but the Italians truly know what they're doing.
The ceremony itself was perfect, our vows were accompanied by string instruments ,followed by a lively jazz band with a vocalist that set the tone for the evening. The food was exceptional, like dining at your favorite Italian restaurant, and our guests to this day won't stop talking about how it was the best wedding they'd ever attended.
What we loved the most was that there were surprises at every turn, little touches and moments that we hadn't planned but made the day even more special.
If you're considering getting married in Italy, this is the place. The Abby, the food, the music, and especially Ippolita's care and attention to every detail made it a dream. We will remember it for the rest of our lives."

"We stayed in the Abbey tower, so atmospheric, though there are lots of stairs. There is a lot of the Abbey left - cloisters, dormitory, chapter house, sleeping quarters, etc. interestingly, it is spread over many levels, so there are short runs of stairs in many places.
The hosts were very helpful. Their love for the property shines through. They have cats, dogs and donkeys.

"We stayed in the tower one night and two nights the HUGE room in the Abby. You need reservations way in advance. Very nice hosts. There are lots of stairs to get to both of these places but they do have very easy access units not directly in the Abby. Very nice breakfast. Easy drive to town 5 min, If you want to go to the lake or to Pisa and more, about 30-45 min away."
