What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tivoli Terme is praised for its spacious thermal park with numerous pools and relaxation areas, offering a great value, especially during off-peak times. However, some visitors have noted concerns about cleanliness during busy periods and limited English communication from staff, highlighting the need for an authentic Italian immersion.
"Very spacious, a lot of different pools, places to relax, palms, umbrellas, restaurants and well positioned lockers. If you do not understand Italian and try to speak in English you will hear “yes-a” or “a-yes” as a response to every question you ask the staff. There is 0 information in English about anything here. So be ready for a complete authentic Italian bath experience :)"

"We were in Tivoli for a weekend at the beginning of October and decided to melt stress away at the Acque Albule Thermae. We got a convenient day pass to the Spa, including treatments and access to the indoor sulfur pools. The outside pools (not sulfur) were closed due to end of the summer season. The day pass included a bathrobe and slippers, so we didn't have to bring anything ourselves.
The ambiance of the Spa is very nice, the personnel is helpful and kind - since it was off season, we had the Spa to ourselves since the whole complex seemed to host mainly medical cures. The treatments we chose were very satisfactory.
Parking also convenient: Directly next to the Thermae, costing 0.5 Euro per hour. The payment is automated - cashier is near the exit."

"Very nice spa. Roman styled cold and warm pools, a steam bath, sauna. The water full of sulphur. However I found it very expensive. On that day they also closed the outer pools for the whole day because of a thunderstorm in the morning, and the price was still the same"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When visiting with children, consider packing extra snacks and drinks, as well as ensuring they have appropriate swimwear. While some reviews mention cleanliness concerns during peak times, visiting on a weekday or during the shoulder season might offer a more pleasant experience for families.
💰 Budget Travelers
To further reduce costs, bring your own towels and bathrobes instead of renting them. While there are dining options on-site, exploring local pizzerias or markets for picnic supplies can also be a more economical choice. Consider traveling during the off-season or shoulder months for potentially lower accommodation rates if you're staying overnight.
💖 Couples Seeking Relaxation
For an even more intimate experience, consider visiting during weekdays or off-peak hours to avoid larger crowds. The Vital Oasis area, designated for adults (+16), offers a more tranquil setting with specialized relaxation spaces. Enjoying a leisurely meal at one of the on-site restaurants or a nearby trattoria can complete your romantic thermal retreat.
