What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Terme di Sorano is praised for its natural thermal pools and relaxing Tuscan countryside setting, with many guests enjoying the delicious food and attentive staff. While some find the accommodations a bit dated, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat and therapeutic waters.
"We came here for the thermal pool and as a nice stay in the countryside for our last two nights in Italy. Unfortunately we didn't find it as enjoyable as other reviewers, perhaps because we weren't aware of what a spa hotel is like. The pool wasn't kid friendly, had a strong smell to it, and you had to wear a swim cap in it. The rooms are dated, with only local television channels (not great if you don't speak Italian), and we found the breakfast not as enjoyable as other places we stayed in Italy. It was one of the more expensive places we stayed. The rooms were clean and tidy, although dated, and the property well maintained. The tennis court was terrible. The staff don't speak much English. We left after one night and stayed in Sorano instead, which is a beautiful town and highly recommended."

"I hosted a wellness retreat for twenti people for five days to my students. We all stayed at the SPA and all of us loved the experience! The villas, the food, the service, the attention and help of the staff made our stay even more special! I am coming back for more events and I heartfully recommend it!"

"My wife and I just went for the pools. We were there during late September and it was not crowded at all. The pools were very nice and the relaxation room behind the spa area was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend if you want to just relax for the day."

This adds a layer of historical and spiritual significance to the natural springs, making a dip in the pools a connection to centuries of tradition and well-being.
While the waters are a significant draw, visitors should be aware of the practicalities. A key rule for enjoying the pools is the mandatory use of swim caps. This ensures a hygienic environment for all guests. The natural mineral content can also give the water a distinct smell, which some guests noted.

While many guests praise the accommodations for their cleanliness and comfort, a few reviews mention that some aspects might feel a bit dated. However, the overall sentiment is positive, with the resort's setting and amenities contributing to a relaxing rural retreat. The property is well-maintained, and the surrounding grounds offer pleasant walks with beautiful views.
Beyond the rooms, the resort provides several amenities to enhance the guest experience. These include a restaurant serving delicious local cuisine, a bar, and a cafe for casual refreshments.
